Imperial Prince Fushimi-no-miya Kunitada (伏見宮邦忠親王)
Imperial Prince Fushimi-no-miya Kunitada (January 20, 1732 - June 26, 1759) was a member of the Imperial family who lived in the Edo period. He was the 16th head of the Fushimi-no-miya family. He was the first son of Imperial Prince Fushimi-no-miya Sadataka. His childhood name was Akonomiya.
In 1742, he was adopted by the Emperor Sakuramachi and in 1743, he received the title of the Imperial Prince and was named Kunitada. In December of the same year, he had a coming-of-age ceremony and was appointed to the governor of Kozuke Province. In 1745, he received the title of Sanbon (the third court rank for the Imperial Princes) and then, in 1749, he received the title of Nihon (the second court rank for Imperial Princes). In 1754, he succeeded to Miyake (house of Imperial Prince) after the death of his father, the Imperial Prince Fushimi-no-miya Sadatake. Although he became Hyobusho-kyo (chief of ministry of military) in 1755 and received the title of Ippin (the first court rank for Imperial Princes) in May 1759, he passed away on June 26 of the same year. He died at the age of 29. His homyo (a posthumous Buddhist name) was Enteimyoin (円定明院).
